Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications or a related field. Minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative role. Experience with medical transcription, communicating with patients and families, and working within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams). Working knowledge of Connect Care application and SharePoint software. Working knowledge of Acute Care Alberta and Health Service Delivery Organization systems and processes including familiarity with policies, human resource activities, and information systems. Minimum of five years’ experience working within a large and complex healthcare organization. Combination of education and experience will be considered.

Demonstrated ability to problem solve and use creative thinking. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills required. Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team. Accurate data entry and attention to detail skills required. Intermediate computer and keyboarding skills required. Demonstrated knowledge navigating through and working with a variety of computer applications including Connect Care, Outlook, Word, Excel, Connect Care, Markview, ESP, Insite, SharePoint and ePeople required. Previous experience in a large, complex organization, particularly within the healthcare field, is preferred and considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting leadership and physician portfolios considered an asset. Clerical experience in an acute, fast-paced, time sensitive healthcare environment. Excellent communication, telephone, and organizational skills. A positive attitude, demonstrate a professional image, exceptional customer service ability, be a strong team player, a problem solver and be flexible with ability to adapt to change.
