Your Opportunity:

The Pharmacist Data Specialist role reports to the Manager of Information, Performance & Outcomes and is an integral part of Pharmacy Alberta. This position combines clinical pharmacy expertise with analytical capability to build a strong, evidence based foundation for pharmacy related analytics across the Health System. You will help advance a program that connects data with operational and strategic decision making, ensuring data informs practice, planning, and system priorities. You will contribute to quality improvement, research, clinical appropriateness, and cost saving initiatives by providing analytical support for pharmacy projects, including Pharmacy Connect and pharmacy dashboard development. The Pharmacist will guide and interpret data in collaboration with analysts, translate complex results into clear insights, and present findings to staff, managers, and senior leaders. Your work will draw on multiple data assets, such as DOSE, Epic, and other provincial datasets, while identifying gaps where data can strengthen pharmacy operations. You will also collaborate with broader analytic teams to integrate datasets like DAD and NACRS, supporting a more comprehensive understanding of pharmacy related trends and outcomes. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to distill statistical information into clear visual and verbal presentations.
